Typically I do not like to write about Fashion that is not in the present season - mainly because we can't run out and buy nor wear the clothes. Having worked in the industry for several years as a model, designer and publicist - I get why we see Spring collections in the Fall and vice versa, The stores need to place their orders, the clothing needs to be manufactured and the magazines need lead time to publish their coverage. Besides, I am just beginning to get excited about pulling out my favorite Fall wardrobe and adding a few new items to it (this is how we shop yes?), so why look at Spring fashions? It's like celebrating Christmas in July, it just should not happen.

But, there is an exception to every rule yes? Mary Katrantzou, a designer who frankly has flown under my radar and when I went back to review her earlier collections, I understand why:), has created one of the most beautiful collections that I've seen in quite some time. Her painterly combination of colors, prints and materials is blooming with freshness!
Then there's Bottega Veneta who again bravely embraced color and a daring mix of different fabrics and texture while maintaining a very feminine form - stunning!
The bad news is that you'll have months to wait to get your hands on these treasures,( unless you know the designers or Anna Wintour/Glenda Bailey:)). The good news is that like Christmas, some things are worth waiting for and isn't it nice to have something great to look forward to? Enjoy!
