Have a Blessed Christmas!
❄
A few years ago my sister and I dropped into a local plant farm and instantly fell in love with the place and more importantly, with the kind owners. They appeared to be warm, open and generous to everyone they encountered. This season, we dropped in to pick up trimmings from their cut Pine trees to create some decorations for our home - even though they were making and selling wreathes and other decorations with them, they freely gave us a bunch at no cost. A couple of weeks ago my sister drove by their place and noticed a sign - FREE CHRISTMAS TREES to FAMILIES in NEED. We now know why we love them so much, they are truly children of God. Here's to a Christmas of loving thy neighbors, giving to those in need and having peace in your heart! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The Little Grey Tee
❖❖❖
The Holidays for me have always been about combining comfort with glamour. Half of my wardrobe consists of tissue cotton tees - they are beyond comfortable and can be snazzed up with the help of one cool piece - here are a few of my Holiday favorites. Wear a tee shirt with any one of these items and you'll be casually glamorous and ready for most occasions.

Bored? Get Inspired!
❤
A few years ago a spiritualist sent me an email suggesting that I create my life's inspiration board. A collage of images and messages that would paint a portrait of how I envision my life and things, people or places that I am inspired by. I did create one and I continue to change it from time to time or I just start a fresh one - this time around I framed it. It is also a wonderful exercise that reminds you daily of what your goals and purpose are. Create your board and get inspired!

The Reason for the Season...
★
Truth be told, I love beautiful things and I love to give and receive meaningful gifts. But lately I have had to ask myself repeatedly, have we lost sight of the true meaning of the season? I am in no way a killjoy, I love a great celebration and the more festive the better - but, my wish for everyone this year and in the years to come is that we slow down and be reminded of Who we are celebrating. I am asking myself, what type of celebration would Christ want - one where we line up outside of a store for hours waiting for a meaningless sale and pepper spraying anyone who crowds us in line, stores staying open on days that should be spent with family and friends ignoring the fact that their employees have families and responsibilities to them and are in need of healthcare and other benefits, buying outrageously expensive gifts as we walk by those in need(don't read some of my earlier entries - for I too am guilty). Let's give Christ a true celebration with our offerings of LOVE to our friends, our neighbors, our family and especially those in need. Here's wishing you and yours a mindfully blessed season!

The Stockings Were Hung...
❉ Stockings in our house were always the last decorations to go up - it was that little unexpected surprise on Christmas morning that we often did not open until later in the day - just when you thought that exchanging presents was over. In my apartment, I would hang my stockings from fun places, like the image below - but at my family's house, they are hung up by my sister on the chimney with care. What would you like Santa to put in your stocking this year - here are a few suggestions. My newly single sister just told me that she wants a man and some money in her stocking - I think I might need to get her a bigger stocking ☺.
