OWN with a Purpose

Oprah Winfrey was recently quoted saying that had she known how difficult it was to run her OWN network, she might have done something else.  Understood, and I do agree with her -  she launched too early and should never have done so until she and her team were ready - but, Oprah is human and is still learning like the rest of us.   However, Oprah's success with her previous show and other ventures has been undeniably longstanding and she has held for years the admiration of those who would like to have her media power and influence.  So, it comes as no surprise that some of the press and a few naysayers would pounce on her first attempt to run her own network.  


Here's why OWN is going to get its' wings and soar, aside from having God's blessings, Oprah's Lifeclasses are BRILLIANT!   This weekend I did a marathon review of  these shows and they are some of what Oprah does best - with integrity and honesty, she uplifts!  Oprah wisely did shows with a live audience and some of the best spiritual leaders of our time -  Iyanla Vanzant, Bishop TD Jakes, Deeprak Chopra and Tony Robbins.  If Oprah is still wondering which programs are going to improve her ratings - these certainly will!  


The world is starved for a higher spiritual awareness and cleansing - and if you are not, you should be!  Society will not thrive on mean-spirited reality programming.  These shows will be the beginning of the healing process for everyone who is willing to take positive steps towards fulfilling their life's purpose.  Oprah needs to look no further - OWN has  found its purpose - uplifting and positive programming!
