I read once and agree that architecture should live in harmony with nature. Villa Ales, designed by Martin Gomez Arquitectos achieves just that. Ordinarily, I am not a huge fan of modern architecture - however, this beautiful residence in Punte del este Uruguay is mainly constructed with stone, wood and glass and is in perfect balance with its seaside and forest landscape. The calm open spaces and expansive views would naturally put one in balance with nature.
